Job Description

Orangetheory Fitness is a trendsetting franchise fitness organization with 400 locations open in the US and Canada and 600+ new fitness studios under development. We are currently seeking qualified trainers and coaches who can deliver a fantastic group workout experience to our clients. As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts for up to 24 clients per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting. An OTF Coach must focus on a well rounded theory of fitness and personal training, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include:
delivering predesigned workouts to groups of up to 24 clients, energizing and motivating clients throughout the personal training sessions, building Orangetheory Fitness attendance and retaining current clientele, ensuring safety of participants in regards to heart rate and exercise technique, modifying specific exercises to accommodate various fitness skill levels, attending monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations, handle member concerns when applicable, assisting sales associates (when needed) with Orangetheory Fitness studio tours and sales, intermediate knowledge of physiology/exercise technique/body mechanics, ability to multi-task and stay organized, positive/motivating/effective interpersonal communication skills, and must have desire and capacity to train all fitness levels.
Job Qualifications:
- Must hold current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NAMS, NCSA, AFFA, or NFPT
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field is preferred
- Current CPR/AED certification
- 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
