Orangetheory Fitness is currently looking for a fun, smart and passionate fitness professional to join and lead the Fitness team at our Melville Studio!

• Promotes a positive, high energy and respectful culture
• Manages all aspects of the Fitness Team and drives success by aligning performance with Orangetheory's best practices
• Schedules OTF training sessions
• Works with Studio Manager, other coaches and staff to build attendance, retain current members and achieve monthly revenue goals
• Leads/instructs a minimum of 10 Orangetheory classes per week including weekends as needed or instructed by the Studio Manager
• Follows up communication with new, current and former Orangetheory studio members to include intros, low use members and consultations for prospective and current members
• Participates in marketing and social media efforts and ensures that coaches are effectively promoting themselves and their workouts to members

Directly supervises the fitness coaches employed at their studio and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Must have completed and passed the 4 day or “single hire” OT Fit Certification Process
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an Orangetheory approved education company. Preferred certifications: NSCA, ACE, PTA Global Certified Trainer, ACSM, AFAA, CI and NASM
• Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification

• Must understand heart rate focused training programs and the science that supports the Orangetheory workout
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrates knowledge of the product, market and competition

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Fitness Coaches are leaders of the Orangetheory workouts. This requires them to be on their feet leading and instructing members for the entirety of the workout. In the weight room, coaches must demonstrate all exercises for members which can involve bosu balls, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX, ab dollies or other fitness equipment.

No job duties should be affected by the noise conditions. Coaches are provided with a Mic so they are able to speak and coach over the loud music of the studio.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly participate in marketing events outside the studio that may last several hours and may be held in or outdoors and the employee should therefore be prepared to work in various locations and weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts while in the studio.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
