We are looking for the right candidate as a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day results related to operations, customer service, sales, revenue, retention, and facilities management.

The General Manager is highly interactive with members and employees. Primary responsibilities are to provide energy, motivation, leadership, career and educational guidance to all staff, driving revenue and sales and ensuring the operational standards of the club and member experience are met. General Managers are expected to interact and offer feedback to staff and management with the intent of helping the company reach our goals and providing added value to our members and guest.

The General Manager is responsible for the direction and ultimate success by reinforcing the company Purpose and culture in the minds and actions of all employees. To steadily and appropriately escalate our consistently high standards of customer service and member engagement, while growing the business. The General Manager Ensures that the Merritt Clubs experience is “The Best Part of our members Day, Every day”.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of health club experience in a fitness management role, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar role.

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Passionate about Merritt Athletic Clubs, the fitness industry and members' results.
Flexible schedule, availability on evenings, weekends and holidays.
Background in Sales and personal production.
Operational experience managing multi -purpose facilities and staff.
Training in customer service/ engagement.
