We are opening the first of 3 to 5 Denver-area F45 Training studios. We are looking for a critical hire that can open and grow the community around the first studio, and then assume leadership for the system of studios we are building. This is a KEY HIRE for us, and performance-based compensation will reflect that, including base salary, bonuses, profit sharing, and increasing equity in each studio as you assume more responsibility. On target earnings, based on performance, would be in the $52K+ range initially, and could scale into a general management position across all studios with commensurate compensation.

We are looking for a highly energetic, upbeat, and friendly Head Trainer / Studio Manager to join one of the fastest growing functional, high intensity interval training (HIIT) group fitness concepts in the world! We are looking for a trainer to build our team and our studio in a way that will inspire our clients, build community, and help change people's lives!

Responsibilities and Duties

You will

Meet and get to know every client who walks through the door - know their name, their spouse's name, their kids' names, their dog's name, where they work. Understand their fitness goals, and any physical limitations and/or injuries.
Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your first class to meet and greet people and prepare for the workout.
Bring people together 3 minutes before the workout starts and pump them up!
Demonstrate with impeccable form the exercises that make up that day's workout, in the time allotted. If you can't tell, being prompt and efficient is critical to our success and yours!
Assist and coach clients as they work through the exercises, correcting form or making appropriate modifications based on limitations or injuries.
Keep people pumped up with lots of energy and positive enthusiasm! Your supply of high fives and fist bumps must be endless!
Follow up with clients to see how they are progressing, and how they feel about their progress towards their goals.
Reach out to clients you haven't seen in a while; figure out how they are doing and what they need to keep driving toward their goals.
Solicit feedback from your clients about schedule - do the current times work; what class times should we offer that we do not? Share this feedback with the team so we can optimize our class scheduling to meet the needs of our clientele.
Make your clients your friends, introduce them to each other, build community.
FULL TIME POSITION: 40% training / 60% community building, marketing, working with our sales manager to drive revenue, and studio management.
Participate in marketing events, including community events, outreach events, flyer / free pass handouts, etc. All scheduled marketing events will be paid. Bonuses will be paid for new memberships you generate.
Interview and make recommendations to hire your training staff.
Ensure you and your staff have reviewed the workout for the day, the studio is set up properly, and focus points for the workout are reviewed
Ensure classes are run on time, and in a positive manner.
Establish class schedules and configure them in our software.
Schedule trainers, ensuring appropriate coverage for the anticipated class size.
Identify / pursue partnerships with in-territory groups, organizations, and companies, in connection with owners.
Maintain the studio to ensure it is clean, equipment is arranged properly for the next class, etc.
Depending on schedule, you may open the studio early morning and / or do cleanup / setup for the next day's workout at the end of the day.

Compensation/ Benefits

$42K - $44K salary; $55K+ on target earnings including salary, bonus, profit sharing, and equity (depending on performance)
1 week vacation after 6 months, second week after 1 year;
Bonus program for client retention (based on average monthly membership in the studio).
Profit sharing based upon studio performance
Potential small equity position in studio after 9 to 18 months, depending on studio / your performance
Free membership to the studio

Qualifications and Skills

Did we mention enthusiasm, positive energy, punctuality, and a desire to help clients make positive changes in their lives?

In addition, we require

Bachelors degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or similar.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience actively leading successful group exercise classes
Current nationally accredited group fitness or personal trainer certification (e.g. NASM, ACE, ACSM, or similar)
Current CPR/AED certification (First Aid certification is a plus)
Reliable, and punctual, punctual, punctual!

Bonus points if you have

Experience or exposure to functional, high intensity interval training classes.
Social media wizardry, and a following to match.
Experience with photo / video editing.
