Job Description

Indian Ridge Country Club is seeking a polished Health & Fitness Director who will bring this department to the next level by expanding our fitness and wellness programs to meet the ever changing needs and demands of our membership. Knowledge of current industry trends in strength training, aerobics offerings, nutrition and life balance as well as a network or interest in developing one with related providers such as physical therapists, wellness speakers and vendors is preferred. Prior experience in a private Country Club is preferred.

The Director will develop member offerings, coordinate member events, and manage the aerobics calendar which includes offering such as aqua aerobics.

The Health & Fitness Director will oversee the Fitness Trainers, Aerobics Instructors, Locker Room staff and work closely with the Spa Manager to ensure a successful Spa operation and work with the Director of Tennis. Strong leadership and employee relation skills including ability to motivate team to achieve department goals is key.

Experience and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, qualifications and skills:

•Several years of Fitness management or relevant experience and required Fitness accreditation (CPT).
•Must possess working knowledge of applicable regulations governing health clubs.
•Ability to compile data on industry trends in class offerings, equipment, and wages
•Successfully promote and market the Health & Fitness department and its offerings to membership.
•Suggest new athletic equipment and provide information and specifications regarding purchases.
•Athletic equipment and facility maintenance.
•Ordering and inventory.
•Respectfully enforce Club rules and policies, especially those related to safety and conduct in the athletic areas.
•Ability to work with the Health & Fitness Committee
•Proficient in capturing data and developing reports regarding payroll and scheduling, facility usage, and event costing.
•Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
•Experience with budget preparation and operation, payroll and scheduling.
•Current AED, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
