Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Have a thorough academic and practical knowledge of exercise anatomy and physiology.

Be able to interpret perceived levels of exertion, pain and body language.

Have a dynamic and friendly personality.

Be punctual with effective time management skills.

Be organized and thoughtful

Maintain a neat and professional appearance personally and of the facility.

Have an understanding of and be able to follow the sales process.

Specific Responsibilities:

Open and close the facility.

Coach large group and personal training sessions with enthusiasm and knowledge.

Understand programming to be able to make modifications as needed for workouts.

Facility organization and cleanliness

Including but not limited to: Demonstrating the Core Values. Attending business related events as required, attending weekly and annual staff meetings and inservices. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Provide motivational support: supporting clients in their workouts from the minute they walk through the door on their very first day.

Empower clients to achieve their goals: Knowing when to give a little extra push or when to back off to guarantee client has the best experience possible.

Education / Experience:

-2 years experience in the field of personal training, group training or the equivalent
-Bachelor’s degree in related field or NASM or NSCA credentials

Additional Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift potentially heavy objects frequently, must be able to demonstrate exercises with proficiency in form and verbal execution. The position is part-time with approximately 15-20 hours per week; early mornings, nights and weekends are necessary.
