Bill Burnett’s Success Studio is a boutique fitness facility that specializes in personal training. Our Mission is to provide a caring and supportive environment, to give hands-on service, and to provide unmatched instruction to people desiring to live an active and healthy lifestyle. A Personal Trainer has a critical role in Success Studio meeting each of its clients’ specific needs and must possess a positive attitude, be motivated as an individual, and also able to motivate others. As such, he/she must work to exceed the gold standard of customer service.

Personal Trainers at Bill Burnett’s Success Studio work with clients in three settings: one-on-one training sessions, semi-private training sessions (up to 3 clients in a session), and large group training sessions (up to 10 clients in a session).

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics;

Initiative for self-learning;

Ability to explain the “why’s” and “how’s” of what is being taught. Personal Trainers should also be able to explain the why’s and how’s of all exercises within a written program;

Strong written and verbal and listening skills;

Assess the fitness level of any client;

Provide superior customer service.

Promote a positive attitude, be friendly and approachable, and facilitate a fun environment.

Personal Trainers must be able to lift a minimum weight load of 75-lbs. The position requires physical work, instruction of classes, and frequent lifting.

Personal Trainers must strive for profitability. They must remain informed of other Success Studio services (Nutrition Coaching), promotional programs and Studio events. Trainers must be able to effectively communicate such information to clients when appropriate.

Personal trainers must be knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics.

Personal Trainers must have initiative for self-learning. Self-learning should occur in the form of respectfully shadowing a senior trainer, gathering of information from books or credible online resources, and through continuing education coursework. Personal Trainers must subsequently contribute learned knowledge to Team Meetings, and share the ‘why’s’ and ‘how’s’ of what is being taught. Personal Trainers should also be able to explain the why’s and how’s of all exercises within a written program to clientele in a manner that can be understood by someone who is not a personal trainer.

Personal Trainers must demonstrate strong communication skills at all times – both with clients and other staff members.

Personal Trainers must be able to assess the fitness level of any client, be able to judge when a client is ready to progress or would benefit from a regression, and be able to modify workouts accordingly.

Personal Trainers must maintain written record of clients’ workouts, sets/reps, weights/resistance with accuracy.

Personal Trainers must provide superior customer service. They must greet clients upon arrival and departure from the Studio by name. They must promote a positive attitude and fun environment. They must remain visible and available to Success Studio members at all times; must be friendly and approachable, offering advice and assistance. Use listening skills to truly understand what the client is saying on both a verbal and nonverbal level. Our clients are our first priority.
